WORDS Are Power | Jay Fesperman (3/3)

The next two verses clearly speak out God’s words of displeasure with ALL forms of homosexuality, saying that men who do such things would receive “in their own persons the due penalty of their error. . . .” I read just this morning in a “newsletter” which I get from a “news magazine“, that we are about to experience the spread of another disease which is highly contagious among those who are sexually promiscuous. Now, back to Romans 1:28:

“And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, GOD GAVE THEM OVER to a DEPRAVED MIND, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; FULL of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, INVENTORS OF EVIL, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that THOSE WHO PRACTICE SUCH THINGS ARE WORTHY OF DEATH, they not only do the same, but also GIVE HEARTY APPROVAL TO THOSE WHO PRACTICE THEM.” (emphasis mine)

Now, having read this portion of the Word of God, if you were in any degree diverted in your mind and did not get a clear understanding of what you have read, I URGE you to go back and read again this portion of Scripture. AND be sure of hearing in your heart ALL that the Lord is seeking to say to His people in this generation.

God’s people MUST be turned around and return to the TRUTH of the Word of God. We must see with eyes that SEE! And we must hear with ears that HEAR! Don’t let the allurements of the fleshly nature cause your heart to be diverted from God’s best for you. His WORD will CHANGE YOUR LIFE – IF you get it down inside your heart!

Often the truth of God’s Word and the wiles of the devil are only a fine line apart. Then it becomes difficult at times to tell one from the other. And how do we open the door to such subtleties of Satan? Mainly by hearing God’s Word and failing to do what it says. Listen to James 1:22, “Do not merely LISTEN to the Word, AND SO DECEIVE YOURSELVES. DO what is says“. So hide His Word down DEEP in your hearts!

Listen to the Psalmist: “How can a young man keep his way pure? By LIVING according to your Word. I seek you WITH ALL MY HEART. Do not let me stray from your commands. I have HIDDEN your Word IN MY HEART that I MIGHT NOT SIN AGAINST YOU“. (Psalm 119:11; emphasis mine)
